The purpose of the program is to return injured workers to their pre-injury status or best possible functional level. The program will also help to facilitate a timely, safe and durable return to work.
Who Is Appropriate For The Program?
Injured workers who have failed to:
Return to work due to persistent functional limitations
Progress their work tolerances to pre-injury levels
Rehabilitation in Motion provides comprehensive treatment for participants in the program. Emphasis of treatment is on bio-mechanical adaptation of the worker to the work environment.
Treatments include:
Simulated pre-injury work activities
Prescribed active exercises to address symptoms and irritability specific to the injury
Job site visit to investigate return to work options and to facilitate the development of relevant, meaningful work simulation activities
Biomechanical re-training
Cognitive-behavioural education including pain management education
Return to work planning
