A job demands analysis (JDA) is an evaluation process that analyses
the tasks workers must perform on the job. Forces required, loads, frequency
of movements, distances, pace, the equipment and tools used and the
physical environment are considered. Important components (often overlooked by
less experienced evaluators) include the level of skill, physical tolerances,
physical capacities and postures required to complete the job. These are also
quantified and considered.
Our analyses will provide recommendations for ergonomic changes or
organization of duties where appropriate.
The information gathered from an analysis is often critical in
matching a workers' abilities to the job.
